Thank you for selecting Happy Hoomans for your pet care needs. Our offerings encompass a wide array of services including daycare, boarding, check-ins, walks, house sitting, weddings, and pet taxi rides. By scheduling our services, you acknowledge and consent to the following terms:
Bark Barn Hours of Operation (Boarding/daycare): Our boarding and daycare services operate from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM. All pickups and drop-offs for boarding and daycare must occur within these hours. Please note that this policy does not apply to pet visits, pet taxi services, or house sitting arrangements.
Vaccination Requirements (all group activities): In the interest of safeguarding all pets, we mandate the following vaccinations: Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella (every 6 months), and Canine Flu (recommended but not obligatory).
Payment: Prior to the initiation of services, an invoice delineating service charges will be issued, with payment required in advance. Invoices are disseminated via Time To Pet and must be settled before scheduled visits. Payment is collected through Venmo (@happyhoomans), cash or check. Our premium service incurs higher costs due to our full-time commitment, insurance, and expertise.
Additional Fees: We retain the right to levy handling fees for exceptionally challenging or aggressive dogs necessitating additional personnel or time for adequate care. In the event of a flea or tick infestation, a $50 charge will be added to your invoice and a flea bath will be administered. In the event that the owner fails to provide sufficient food during boarding, we reserve the right to provide food at the owner's expense. Additionally, we cannot accept liability for any allergies or adverse reactions caused by food provided during the boarding period.
Flea and Tick Policy (all group activities):
Please note that we board and care for multiple dogs at the same time. While we take precautions to maintain a clean and pest-free facility, it is important to recognize the inherent risk of dogs being around other dogs.
We highly recommend that all dogs staying at our facility be on a flea and tick preventative before arrival. Happy Hoomans is not responsible for any fleas or ticks that your dog may contract while staying with us.
We regularly spray and treat our lawn to help prevent pests and our personal dogs are consistently kept on a flea and tick preventative as well.
Health and Safety Protocol: Kindly apprise us of any health-related concerns or alterations in your pet's condition. In the unfortunate event of a pet's death under our supervision, we shall handle the matter with the utmost reverence and in accordance with your preferences. During group activities, pets of congruent temperaments will be supervised, and any injuries will be promptly attended to at your expense. While we employ preventive measures, we relinquish liability for airborne illnesses.
Admission Requirements (all group activities): All dogs must be up to date on the required vaccinations. We do not accept female dogs in heat for boarding or daycare services.
Assumption of Risk: Pet owners acknowledge the potential for stress or illness in pets, particularly those grappling with health issues or undergoing transitions, during our services. Consequently, owners bear responsibility for any ensuing medical expenditures. While boarding, there may be intervals where pets are secured but unsupervised. Our facility is not equipped with a fire sprinkler system, but there are multiple fire extinguishers on the premises.
Puppy Boarding Surcharge (boarding and daycare): A surcharge of $10 per night will be applied to boarding fees for puppies, defined as dogs under 6 months of age. This additional fee is intended to cover the extra care and attention required for young puppies, including frequent potty breaks, socialization, and monitoring of behavior. We appreciate your understanding of the additional resources and effort involved in caring for puppies and strive to provide them with the best possible care during their stay with us.
Crating Policy (boarding): For the safety and comfort of all boarded dogs, crating will be implemented between the hours of 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM. Crating will also be implemented during designated periods throughout the day when staff steps away. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs under our care and to prevent any potential incidents or accidents. Dogs are not allowed to roam without supervision to maintain a secure and controlled environment. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation regarding this matter.
Photo and Video Release: We may utilize images or videos of your pet for promotional endeavors with your explicit consent.
Key Policy (house-sitting and visits): For services in which we will need to access your premises, we require a tangible key on file in order to mitigate potential electrical malfunctions. Leaving a key on your premises is undertaken at your own discretion and is not recommended.
Emergency Policy: Your pets' health and welfare are our paramount concerns. In the event of exigent circumstances necessitating immediate veterinary intervention, we shall promptly notify you and coordinate veterinary care for your pet. Our team is certified in CPR, pet first aid, and insured to ensure optimal safeguarding of you and your pet.
Property Damage Liability (house-sitting and visits): While we take utmost care to ensure the safety and security of your property during house-sitting assignments, we cannot accept responsibility for damages unless they are a result of sitter negligence. Any damages incurred due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters or mechanical failures, are not within our liability. We recommend clients to have appropriate insurance coverage to safeguard against such events. However, in the event of damage caused by sitter negligence, we will take full responsibility and work to rectify the situation to the best of our ability.
Pet Escape Liability (house-sitting and visits): While we take every precaution to ensure the safety and security of your pets during house-sitting assignments and visits, we cannot accept responsibility for pets escaping your home unless it is a result of sitter negligence. Our sitters are trained to adhere to strict protocols to prevent pets from escaping, including ensuring all doors and gates are securely closed and latched. However, in the event of a pet escaping due to sitter negligence, we will take full responsibility. Clients are encouraged to provide clear instructions and inform us of any potential escape routes or concerns to mitigate risks.
Exclusion of Liability for External Dog Attacks (Dog Walks): While we prioritize the safety and well-being of your pet during dog walks, we cannot accept liability for incidents involving attacks from external dogs. Despite our best efforts to maintain control and vigilance, unforeseen encounters with other animals may occur. In the event that another dog initiates an attack on your pet while under our care, we will take immediate action to ensure the safety of all animals involved. However, we cannot be held responsible for the actions of external parties or their pets. We strongly encourage pet owners to ensure their pets are properly socialized and trained to minimize the risk of such incidents. Additionally, clients are advised to consider pet insurance to mitigate any potential financial implications arising from such events.
No Refund Policy: Once payment has been collected no refunds will be issued. Clients are encouraged to thoroughly review service details and pricing before making payments to ensure satisfaction. In extenuating circumstances, exceptions to this policy may be considered at the discretion of management. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation regarding this matter.
Changes to Terms: These terms are subject to revision, and your ongoing utilization of our services denotes your acceptance of any modifications.
